Gilbert is a lifelong resident of Charles County. He currently resides in Dentsville with his wife of 11 years Jennifer and their two children. Gilbert is currently employed by the Prince Georges County Police Department where he has served the past 15 years in various assignments to include interdiction, robbery and now in my current assignment at National Harbor. Gilbert is currently active in many community organizations to include the United Way of Charles County where he currently serves on the Board of Directors as the incoming Chair. He is also a current member of the Charles County Farm Bureau where he will be serving as Vice President in the upcoming year. Gilbert is a 15 year member of the Fraternal Order of Police where he has served in a variety of capacities on the Board of Directors. Gilbert was elected to the Charles County Democratic Central Committee in 2014 and currently serves as the Chairman. Gilbert also owns and operates a 5th Generation Family Farm with his Grandfather and father where they raise grass fed beef and vegetables that they sell to the local community. Gilbert firmly believe’s that it is essential that we as citizens become involved in the activities of our government and community to ensure a bright and prosperous future for all of our children.
